Established in 1984, the Therapy Centre is a registered charity set up by people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for people with MS. The aim of the Therapy Centre is to help improve the quality of life for those with MS, their families and those who care for them, we do this by providing advice, support, information, specialist clinics, workshops, and a range of practical therapies. We aim to bring people with MS together in a positive, supportive, happy and caring environment. Social contact with others with MS can be of great benefit and we invite anyone with MS to drop in and have a look around or call the Centre to book a consultation with the Centre Manager. It has been estimated that there is approximately 1,500 people in East Kent with MS and we aim to support as many as we can. |
| We are currently looking for a volunteer to put our quarterly newsletter together. If you have the skills and experience and can spare some time to help this charity please do get in touch, contact manager Karen Middlemiss on 01227 470 876. BREAKING NEWS.................... Our new building fund now stands at a fantastic £816,000! This means we are over half way to the total of £1.3m needed to build our new centre for all those across Kent whose lives are affected by MS. This has been achieved thanks to the hard work of our many supporters and the generosity of our wonderful Patron, Mr Frank Brake who has doubled all money raised for the appeal since February 2012 and will do so until December 2013! So what does this mean for us? If we can pull out all the stops and raise £250,000 before the end of December this year, Frank will turn that into £500,000! This will give us the £1.3m we need and will enable us to put the spade in the ground and make the dream of a new building a reality for all our members. The proposed start date for our new building is 1st March 2014! If you can help support the appeal please do get in touch on 01227 470 876 |
