The Butterfly Appeal Campaign
In 2011 the Trustees decided to recruit new volunteers to help their campaign to raise the money for the new Centre. A volunteer Funding Development Manager was appointed at the beginning of 2012 to spearhead the Appeal for the new building. Our fundraising campaign is now called the BUTTERFLY APPEAL and has a number of activities connected to it including significant grant applications to charitable trusts and businesses ...read more.
The New Kent MS Therapy Centre
Our existing Therapy Centre pictured here is housed in a prefabricated building which was put in place 28 years ago and given a lifespan of 15 years. Although the building has been carefully maintained, naturally, 28 years on, it is nearing the end of its useful life. With the significant increase in our membership over the past 5 years, the building is no longer large enough to accommodate the facilities we need to meet the increasing demand for the therapies and services we provide. Over the last few years our membership has increased by 15% to 20% per annum - such is the demand for what we do. Our continued membership expansion has placed increasing pressure on the limited space we have available and we now have to hold some of our activties outside of the Centre which is a real issue for some of our members. ...read more
